Pedersen has a pretty incredible story to tell, as she is now hoping to share that story online and make this community feel at home. She thinks it will help the community understand why they are doing this.

It was during the school year that Pedersen and her partner decided to be parents for the first time in their lives, so she has not seen her new baby for two months.
