Carlton has won its battle with the AFL over the broadcasting of the AFL Grand Final, and has won its legal battle to avoid broadcasting the finals match.

The club has been granted extraordinary powers to keep the AFL Grand Final broadcast to the home fans, including the use of its television cameras and radio coverage.

Carlton’s case, which had been thrown out by the High Court last month, was reinstated on Saturday, when Federal Court Judge Michael Howard granted its application to block the영주안마 broadcast on grounds it breaches AFL regulations.

Carlton won its appeal and it will now apply for a full recount of the High Court decision.

It is understood AFL president Tony Shepherd would take no part in the debate.

Carlton also lost another fight last week to prevent the AFL grand final broadcast in the United States.

Carlton’s win marks the club’s first finals series win since 1987 when the Blues beat Collingwood 38-17 in front of about 14,000 fans in a game played at ANZ Stadium.
